Pinehurst Pocket Park Play Plaza
The play oval is 34' long X 24' wide. It contains Ta Gali Gali (Nigerian hopscotch) across the center. Four-Square (inner oval) and sixteen 'pavers' depicting local wildlife, birds, plants and cold-bloodeds. Colors are mineral oxides embedded into the concrete. Sara designed the oval with the Pinehurst community and troweled every molecule by hand. Tom mixed every molecule; they spent three months at the site, becoming neighbors in this 'second home'.
